I have been elected Secretary of the Coastal Bend Guides Association as of January 18th during
the annual supper event held at the Big Fisherman restaurant in Rockport. I look forward to serving the CBGA in this capacity and will do everything I can to meet the challenges of the coming year. I strongly
encourage all guides to join this fine association of bay and offshore fishing guides, and hunting guides.

New Page for Texas Parks and Wildlife
The TSFGw has created a new page on its web site for the Texas and Parks Wildlife Department. The page
will contain information from the TP&W that we feel is relevant to Texas Salwater Fishing Guides and the bays and
waterways of the Texas Gulf Coast. We will continue to publish newsworthy articles from TP&W on our
BLOG, and we encourage our members and visitors to browse this web page also.We
recognize that our guides and members frequently disagree with proposed TP&W policies and procedures and we intend
to champion the livelihoods of our members when this becomes necessary. Of course, we will also maintain our
editorial independence.
That having been said, we must also recognize the TP&W does see to reach out to guides, and that they publish a
wealth of valuable information for the guiding profession.
Therefore, our policy at TSFGw will be to publicize the useful, valuable information from the Texas Parks and
Wildlife Department, and, at the same time, to alert our members to those proposals which we feel would negatively
impact the livelihood of our members.
You can see the new page at http://www.texassaltwaterfishingguides/News/TPW
News/TPWMain.htm. You can also view this page by pulling down our "News" menu and selecting TP&W from the
drop down menu.
