Publisher's Comments

This time of year begins the slow season for fishing guides. The weather usually turns cooler, and people are now thinking about hunting, Friday night football, etc. It is the time of year when guides look to performing long overdue maintenance on equipment, and other chores which have been delayed due to a busy summer season. Your web site should also have some maintenance performed on it so that it will be ready to go for the new season.

Maintaining Your Web Site in the Off Season

There are several things you should do to maintain your web site now that the busy season is over. Here are some tips. Archive your existing pictures. Move them to a “last year” photo gallery page and establish a link to that page. Check each page on your web site to make sure there are no broken links. Update your web site text to reflect any changes that have occurred during the year. For example, you may have purchased a new boat. Have your web site reviewed by Steve Purcell Consulting.
