How many Hits, Visits, and Referrals did
YOUR web site get last month???
If you can’t answer
this question, then you should change your web site hosting to Steve Purcell
Consulting. Let’s face facts. Your web site is out there to bring in
customers. But most people just don’t know how well their web site is
performing. If you don’t know what the
problem is, you can’t fix it.
Our reporting will tell you what is wrong and what is right with your web site.
When you host your web pages with us, the reports that you receive will detail
the following:
- How may hits, visits and referrals did I get last month,
last week, or on a certain day. A hit is anything, including a search engine,
that listed your site. A visit is an actual person who visited your web
site. A referral is a person that visited your web site and was referred to
you by someone linked to your site.
- What pages on my web site are being visited most often,
or least often, and how many visits are there for each.
- Who is referring visitors to my site, and how many
visitors are they referring.
- What keywords are visitors typing into the search
engines, like Google and Yahoo to find my web site. What new keywords were
used to find my web site and should I add these keywords to my web page.
These are just some of the questions that can be answered
when we provide your web hosting. If you want your web site to be a revenue
producer instead of a boat anchor, call Steve Purcell Consulting today at
210.710.4258, or email us at
steve-purcell@sbcglobal.net. You won’t be sorry.
All About Links (Part Two)
Last month’s article on links covered the definition of a
link, and gave the reasons for establishing reciprocal links on your web site,
and the value accrued from doing so.
Good candidates for establishing reciprocal links are boat
marinas, bait shops, restaurants, hotels and motels. If you are a member of a
fishing guide organization, then you should request a reciprocal link with them.
When you establish a reciprocal link with someone like the
Coastal Bend Guides Association, you are becoming visible on a site that gets
far more hits than your individual site. The CBGA got over 11,000 hits in
February. Some of that traffic could come to your site, if you have a
reciprocal link. Another good bet is the Texas Saltwater Fishing Guides web.
We got over 10,000 hits in February. Just call us at 210.710.4258 or email us
at
steve-purcell@sbcglobal.net to get set up with either of these organizations.
The bottom line on reciprocal links is the more you have,
the higher your visibility on the Internet. If you have your hosting through
us, you will see exactly how many visitors were referred to your site by each
link, during a reporting period specified by you. Now that’s accountability.
